Prepares, recommends and manages a comprehensive economic development effort for the City, supervises the contract Transit Manager and Parking System Supervisor and coordinates activities with the Convention and Visitors Bureau; performs related work as required.
Extensive experience in the management of economic development, downtown redevelopment, neighborhood reinvestment, workforce development and riverfront development programs and activities; graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration or urban planning, supplemented by an advanced degree in public administration, business administration or urban planning; National Development Council Economic Development Finance Professional Certification is beneficial; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the essential knowledge, skills and abilities.
