Spring 2014 Planning and Zoning for Local Officials Workshop

Description: All workshops begin with registration and a light supper at 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes by 8:45 p.m. The registration fee is $65 per individual. This fee is reduced to $50 per individual if a city or county registers 5 or more officials to attend. The fee covers the workshop instruction, workshop materials, and supper. We have moved exclusively to an online registration system for the workshops. Don’t miss an opportunity to meet and network with your colleagues at the All Iowa Reception being held on: All Iowa Reception Monday, April 28, 2014 5:00-8:00 p.m. STATS-Yale Room 300 Marietta St, NW STATS and Marietta St NW are just east of the Georgia World Congress Center. Wood Window Workshop

Description: The City of Dubuque Historic Preservation Commission is partnering with Four Mounds to host Wood Window Workshop Week May 14th through May 17th. The events offers a variety of educational and training opportunities for restoring wood windows. The events include options for lectures, hands-on demonstrations and an intensive 2-day workshop, all of which teach aspects of wood window repair, restoration and energy efficiency.

Description: Attached you will find registration information for the 2014 County Planning and Zoning Officials of Iowa Spring Conference, which will take place Wednesday, May 21 – Friday, May 23 in Okoboji, Iowa. The 2014 CoZO Spring conference will include sessions on: · Challenges & Opportunities in Mapping Property and Maintaining Land Records · Confined Animal Feeding Operations in Iowa · County Zoning and Economic Development · Floodplain Management in Iowa · Planning and Zoning 101 · Planning and Zoning Law · Public Meeting Management with your PZC and ZBA As well as: · CoZO Business Meeting · CoZO Legislative Update w/ update on new taxing laws · CoZO Premier Sponsor’s Presentations · CoZO Roundtable Discussion On Thursday afternoon, all conference attendees will be treated to a mobile tour of Okoboji, with lunch at Bracco’s. After lunch, tour stops will include the Maritime Museum, the Classic Car Museum, and a social hour at Pirate Jacks! Registration costs are $75 for 2014 CoZO Members, and $135 for non-CoZO Members. For those of you who have not submitted your membership dues for 2014, a membership application form is also attached. A block of rooms at the Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center are being held for the County Planning & Zoning Officials of Iowa until Monday, April 21.
